Education and Professional History:
I obtained my bachelor’s degree at KSU Salem Campus in Human Development and Family Studies, 2014. Upon graduation, I spent a little over a year with Columbiana County Children’s Services, moving on to the Family Recovery Center in 2016. Much of my career has involved educating grades K-8 among schools within Columbiana County in topics such as drug/alcohol prevention, social/emotional skills, healthy self-esteem, and making responsible decisions.
I completed my master’s degree at YSU in Clinical Mental Health Counseling 2024. Upon graduation, I spent a short time getting my feet wet in my new role as a Mental Health Counselor with the Family Recovery Center. Recently I have joined the PsyCare Struthers family.
Specialties /Certificates/Special Training:
Presently, I specialize in working with those affected by anxiety and depression ranging in ages 9 and up.
Professional Objectives:
I value helping others become the healthiest version of themselves (finding their voice, establishing healthy boundaries, uncovering inconsistencies between thoughts and behaviors). I aspire to meet others where they are through a down-to-earth approach including warmth, empathy, encouragement, and humor.
Fun Fact:
I have wanted to be a counselor since the 6th grade when my own counselor saw me and gave me my voice.
