PsyCare Spotlight: Kristyn Woodward, MSW, LISW-S

Great news!

PsyCare Licensed Independent Social Worker Kristyn Woodward completed a revision/re-write of the Psychiatric Emergencies chapter in her father’s book, Prehospital Emergency Care, 11th Edition (2018).

Part of Kristyn’s revision includes changes informed by the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V).

Previously, Kristyn had the privilege of revising the chapter on Psychiatric Emergencies from the 10th Edition of Prehospital Emergency Care as well.

Kristyn says, “I have made this my niche, as I am a guest lecturer for multiple Fire and EMS departments and paramedic classes at Youngstown State University. I specifically teach how to manage and treat psychiatric patients.”

Kristyn’s father Joseph Mistovich is a national author of over 30 EMS textbooks.

We are proud of Kristyn, and her work to teach students and professionals how to care for psychiatric patients.

Bravo, Kristyn!
