“The best part of being a counselor is when a client has their ‘aha’ moment and things start to click and fall into place and the client starts feeling better.”

Matteo believes that being a counselor allows him to make a positive impact in someone’s life. He added that watching a client build trust, grow, and achieve their goals they set is the most rewarding part of the job. It also keeps you on your toes and constantly learning and growing to better help understand client’s experiences, perspectives, and their needs.

Matteo specializes in anxiety depression LGBTQ+ Issues addiction, trauma, and addiction with adolescents (15+) and adults.

He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Youngstown State University and is currently working on finishing his Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Walden University.

A fun fact that Matteo shared is, “I am a wrestling and football fan and have met several big name wrestlers in recent years. Some other hobbies of mine include taking road trips in Northeast Ohio, “weather permitting” to find unique stores and restaurants to visit.”
