Licensed Independent Social Worker

Education and Professional History:

I attended Monmouth University where I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work in Clinical Practice with Families and Children. In addition to generalist coursework I specialized in Veteran/ Military Social Work. I participated in an internship in HUD:VASH with the Department of Veterans Affairs, working closely with homeless and recently housed veterans. After graduating, I worked on inpatient psychiatric hospital units for both RWJ Barnabas and Bon Secours Mercy Health, helping to stabilize the most clinically acute/ chronically mentally ill patients. I then began working for New Start IOP, doing group therapy. I have also worked with Sondermind to provide individual teletherapy.

Specialties /Certificates/Special Training:

During my time at Monmouth University, I was awarded the Deans Leadership award for my work as President of the Social Work Society. While working with the Department of Veterans Affairs, I  participated in a Warrior2Soulmate weekend retreat that focused on reconnecting veterans with PTSD and their spouses.

Professional Objectives:

I strive to make sessions therapeutic but also fun. I  believe laughter is healing and very important to mental health. I am  dedicated to create individualized treatments that will fit your goals, schedule, and will be the catalyst for positive change. I will work with you-side by side- to overcome any obstacles in your path towards the life you desire.
