Degrees and Education:

Master’s of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Youngstown State University 2023

Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology, College of Wooster

Professional History:

During my senior year of undergraduate studies, I became a level IV volunteer at the Village Network campus located in Wooster, OH and developed a quarterly newsletter with 5 residents within the facility. After graduation, I became a therapeutic staff support (TSS) through Comprehensive Family and Children Services in Sharon, PA working alongside youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the home, community, and school settings. After doing this for a year, I transitioned into a teaching assistant for St. Stephen’s Academy, North campus in Sharon, PA (ran through Glade Run Lutheran Services). I did this for over two years and worked with youth between grades 1 through 8. I then transitioned as a residential program supervisor at MCAR in Hermitage, PA working alongside adults with developmental disabilities and overseeing the day-to-day operations of 17 group homes throughout Mercer County. After being with MCAR for a year, I was given opportunity to work at PsyCare as a Psychiatric Case Manager (PCM) in the Integrative Family and Systems Treatment (I-FAST) program. During my time as a PCM, I attended Youngstown State University in order to obtain a master’s degree in counseling that I began during the Spring 2021 semester. I graduated with a 4.0 from the program in May 2023 and have recently transitioned from a PCM to an LPC at PsyCare, as well as transitioned from the I-FAST program, which is a community-based program, into an in-office position at the Struthers PsyCare Clinic. I am available Tuesday through Friday for in person appointments and provide telehealth services on Monday.

Specialties:

I serve populations of all ages. I specialize in my development of creative interventions, such as my “tune your life” intervention that I developed during my time as a PCM. What is nice about developing creative interventions is the ability to explore potential issues/concerns in a manner that may not have been considered before.

Professional Objectives:

It is my goal to allow people to feel heard and validated over their feelings while at the same time ensuring that they feel safe to talk about their problems that they may struggle with talking about. It takes courage to talk about difficult topics and I just would like for my clients, as well as everyone who may be reading this that I cannot promise to be the clinician for you, but I will try my best to provide you with what you are looking for when addressing your own mental health concerns.

Theoretical Orientation:

I feel comfortable in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Music Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Trauma therapy (would like to become certified in EMDR), and Family Therapy.

Certificates/Special Training:

I have goals to become an accredited gambling use disorder clinician as well as become certified in EMDR.
