Counseling is “Providing insight to allow for new ways of seeing ourselves, our situations and others.”

“I value helping others become the healthiest version of themselves (finding their voice, establishing healthy boundaries, uncovering inconsistencies between thoughts and behaviors). I aspire to meet others where they are through a down-to-earth approach including warmth, empathy, encouragement, and humor.”

Denise specializes in working with those affected by anxiety and depression ranging in ages 9 and up.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree at Kent State University Salem Campus in Human Development and Family Studies. She completed her master’s degree at Youngstown State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling 2024.

Denise’s fun fact is, “I have wanted to be a counselor since the 6th grade when my own counselor saw me and gave me my voice.”
