I believe all people have the ability and the right to heal. I work with clients to help them acquire effective coping skills that work for them. I view my job as helping to empower clients to make the change and growth necessary to live a life where their struggles are manageable.

Theoretical Orientation
I use an eclectic approach to counseling and in collaboration with the client attempt to match them with an effective treatment strategy they will use in and out of sessions. I am mostly influenced by cognitive-behavioral models of counseling for making change; and utilize a brain-based model of counseling to help individuals develop a tangible understanding of their emotional difficulty.
